Good news, bad news

I finally was able to talk to the client relationship manager at Merchant Capital Store regarding my poor results with cold calling. In speaking with her, she helped identify the problem, which was that I don't sound confident on the phone. She told me that everything that I say sounds like a question and I need to make it sound like a statement or command. Whoa! I never expected to hear that. I also was reading the script and making it sound like a polished script instead of a conversation. Another mistake. I don't know if they'll let me try cold calling again. We worked together for 45 minutes on the intonation of my voice. I'm a little indifferent if they decide to reinstate me and put me back on the dialer. If I don't do sales on the phone, I can continue to write. Heck, no one cares how my voice sounds in a blogpost. They can read it or pass on it. I'm super excited to be creating more blog content. Today, I did more search engine research. I discovered that the keyword term "Personal Trampoline" was not being used.  Naturally, I decided to snatch up the keyword that was receiving 480 searches per month. The other sites that were ranked for personal trampoline were websites of retailers and people selling them. It may or may not work out for me. People don't generally refer to them as personal trampolines anymore, but they sure are searching for that term!  It is niche enough that someone may find my post and read it.  I'm not sure.  I will pick another topic and write another blog post today.
How is accelerated sales success working for me?  Ugh...I want it to be working faster. I'm only done with 3 weeks.  Three months looks like it will be a tipping point.  We shall see!  Exciting times are ahead.  I definitely am making progress with creating a kick ass online website though!
