Trying Again
Yesterday, I listened to a training for the credit card processing telesales position that I had almost given up on. It was frustrating to hear that other people had success with generating leads with the script and I had not. The new relationship manager offered to help me, so I took her up on the offer despite my idea that I would love creating a blog more than calling people. Maybe it is the Accelerated Sales Success getting into my head. I didn't want to give up, but I just couldn't see how I was going to get leads if I didn't even have one after twelve hours of calling and not really even getting ahold of the people in charge.
Today's goals include:
-researching a keyword
-creating a keyword rich blogpost
-backlinking to at least three different websites
-20 pips in trading
-4 hours listening to the Accelerated Sales Success Audio
-4 hours of cold calling
I've noticed that I'm starting to set goals, which is one of the positive affirmations on theAccelerated Sales Success audios. I used to avoid setting goals because I wasn't sure if I could achieve them and if I didn't then it didn't matter, I hadn't really set the intention. Writing my goals down on this blog holds me accountable even though I don't think anyone has found this blog yet! It will be interesting to see if someone does find it and starts commenting on it.
What are some of my wins:
-I finished my blogposts yesterday, the backlinking and listened to the audio for not only four hours, but all through the night! I'm hoping that it will brainwash me to change my bad habits into more productive, good ones. Sales is something that I have always avoided and detested. I still find that I'm holding back from sales at this time in the form of not wanting to make the cold calls and teetering on giving up on this sales position. Argh!
Another "win" that I had was setting my trading goal on my blog. Writing down the goal solidifies it as an intention. While I am not yet trading large sums of money, setting the goal to get a certain number of pips helps me to improve my trading and keeping it posted on this sites shows my intention. It is helping me become more accountable.
Update: I created this blogpost using a keyword from yesterday Walking Treadmill Desk
-I made a mistake with my trading and lost the gains that I made yesterday. I made the mistake of thinking that it was done going up based on one red candle on the M1 time frame. I figured that it would go up to 50 (an algorhythm), but for some reason when it started pulling back at 36, I got in. This was a mistake. I should have gotten in and rode it up until 50 because it went above 50. I couldn't watch it because I had to leave for the day. I put a stop loss in at 61, which it hit and then went down but not even close to my entry or target for today. I'm going to be more careful for my next trade.
-I've started backlinking and should get more of those finished today.
-I added a picture to make the featured image look nicer. My images still are all sorts of messed up, but it is coming along nicely.
Still on my to do list for today:
-cold calling
-2 more hours of positive affirmations
